About the Beauty and the Beast Collection

This collection acknowledges and celebrates the scars of time. Reclaimed timber, marked by decades of use, weather, and memory, is lovingly mended using the kintsugi method, transforming fractures into expressions of character rather than concealment. These objects become witnesses to a new passage of time: through a doorway, around a table, within the rituals of daily life and conversation. Their histories are not erased but carried forward.

Recycled glass appears throughout the collection as a quiet counterpart to the aged wood. Seemingly fragile yet remarkably strong, it supports, elevates, and connects—whether as a handle, a threshold, or an ephemeral table base. Together, wood and glass create a dialogue between permanence and transparency, resilience and vulnerability, reminding us that strength and fragility often coexist within the same form.
