One of our earliest commissions, this historic renovation transformed Blancpain’s emblematic farmhouse into a highly specialised watchmaking manufacture. While the historic exterior was preserved, the building was completely gutted, leaving only the four perimeter walls. Within this restored shell, new interiors were constructed to meet the exacting requirements of precision watchmaking, creating dust-free environments, highly controlled workspaces, and bespoke traditional watchmaker benches designed specifically for the manufacture.

A glazed internal passage was conceived as a living gallery, allowing visitors to observe the craft of watchmaking while preserving the integrity of the workshops beyond. As the sole visitor-accessible space, the staircase became an opportunity to celebrate Blancpain’s heritage, incorporating a historic logo motif into the balustrade and the brand’s signature cherry wood into its architectural expression.

The style of the farmhouse, its traditional wooden watchmaker benches, its layout, its loving restoration all speak volumes of Blancpain’s goals, ethics and the things it prizes.
